If the weld peels apart clean, your settings are wrong — adjust and test again. Two minutes of testing beats a day of repairs.
Heat and speed work together
Too hot and slow cooks the sheet brittle. Too cold and fast leaves a cold weld that looks fine and fails later. Run a seam probe along both edges of every weld after it cools. It should glide without catching.
